Melanie Snow is the pen name of Wendy Van de Poll, a paranormal cozy mystery author, professional animal communicator, and wildlife tracker. Her lifelong connection with nature and animals—and her passion for magic, faeries, and exploring the artes of her ancestors—inspire the world of the Spellwood Witches.

Her adventures aren't always the stuff of fiction. Melanie has been followed by wild wolves in minus-60-degree temperatures, hissed at by a bobcat, and even played ball with a wild owl. She weaves these extraordinary real-life experiences, along with her intuition and connection to the natural world, into her stories.

And then there's Addie—a very special dog whose real-life connection to Wendy helped inspire the animal magic woven throughout the Spellwood Witches series.

Step into Melanie's world, where the line between the ordinary and the magical is wonderfully thin.
